Call for ECSACOG Research Proposals

ECSACOG is pleased to announce the opening of the first request for applications for research proposals aimed at securing a seed grant. Consequently, all Programme Directors and trainers with an interest from the following six countries where ECSACOG residency training is active (Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe) are cordially invited to submit research proposals. It is imperative to note that one grant will be awarded per country, with each grant amounting to 1500 USD.

The aim of this initiative is to support capacity strengthening of Programme Directors and Trainers and facilitate uptake of innovations and new information through research on selected topics. Also this initiative is a good start in building the research portfolio for the college to advance education, training, standards of practice in OB/GYN care in the region through partnerships and grant applications. We aspire to enrich the educational experience and professional development of residents, ultimately contributing to advancements in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

  • The thematic area will focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) related issues.
  • Proposals should be prepared in groups of  5 or more  individuals.
  • Team composed from more than one training site is encouraged
  • Selected proposals will receive technical support and a small grant.
