Officially welcomed during the ECSACOG Annual General Meeting held on 22nd November 2025
The East, Central and Southern Africa College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ECSACOG) is proud to announce that the Kingdom of Eswatini has been officially admitted as the 12th Member Country of the College. The milestone was confirmed during the ECSACOG Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 22nd November 2025.
Eswatini’s inclusion represents a significant step forward in ECSACOG’s vision of expanding regional cooperation to improve specialist OB/GYN training, reproductive health outcomes, and equitable healthcare access across Sub-Saharan Africa.
As a new member, Eswatini joins a growing network of countries united by a shared commitment to quality postgraduate education, health system strengthening, and advancing women’s health. Through this membership, the country’s healthcare professionals will benefit from ECSACOG’s regional training curriculum, accreditation standards, examinations, mentorship programmes, and continuing professional development (CPD) initiatives.
Welcoming Eswatini into the ECSACOG community also supports the broader goal of addressing regional disparities in maternal and newborn health through collaboration, research, and policy engagement.
The College extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Ministry of Health of Eswatini, the Eswatini Medical and Dental Council, and local health stakeholders who have played a role in aligning national standards with ECSACOG’s regional training framework.
We look forward to working closely with Eswatini’s institutions, trainers, and future residents in the years ahead.
